it goes without saying that there are going to be some triggering topics on this blog and some people may find the content offensive. so i think its important to establish some community guidelines. first of all this is not a pro-self-harm or pro-eating-disorder space. any comments encouraging other users to begin continue or escalate harmful behaviors will be removed. that being said the comments on my posts will not be moderated beyond removing explicit encouragement. you may see users engaging in romanticising or glamorising their own illnesses. this will not be considered explicit encouragement and will not be removed so long as the behavior does not extend beyond the user’s own lifestyle.

secondly outsiders and unsolicited advice will be heavily moderated. if you do not self-harm and have never had an eating disorder this is not your space to shine. this is especially true of parents of children who self-harm or struggle with disordered eating. the nervous system does not typically reach for these coping mechanisms out of nowhere. if your child is reaching for these coping mechanisms without a pre-verbal basis of behavior i strongly believe this is entirely the fault of negligent or abusive parenting. if that upsets you you’re the exact person who needs to hear it.

finally no photos are allowed in the comments sections. while i post photos to decorate my blog, these are dangerous and can be used to dox me. i am well aware of the risks and taking that risk consciously. for the safety of the community absolutely no photos will be tolerated. this includes but is not limited to graphic photos of self-harm, body check photos, cutspo/thinspo, and all memes (regardless of topic). please respect these rules as they keep the space open and available for everyone.
